Winston Hills Bears Youth Development Framework | Upcoming Coaching Courses
We are very pleased to be able to confirm dates for two coaching courses that will be hosted at Max Ruddock and led by Steve O’Connor (Technical Director for the Hills Association and former Socceroo).
All junior coaches are required to attend the sessions relevant to your age group if at all possible. We also encourage interested parents and members to attend if you have an interest in supporting your children’s footballing development and think you’d like to coach or assist in the future.

Bear Cubs: ALDI MiniRoos Certificate
This course is designed specifically for coaches of kids from U5-U9 and is focused on the ‘Discovery Phase’ of the FFA’s national curriculum. Coaches will be shown how best to structure training sessions along with practical demonstrations of effective practice based on fun football exercises that help foster a love for the game.

Black Bears: Skill Training Certification
This course is designed specifically for coaches of kids from U9-U13 and aligns with the Skill Acquisition Phase of the FFA’s national curriculum
The program runs over four 3-hour sessions and enables coaches to structure sessions that effectively work on technical skills development.
The course is free and will run from 6.30pm at Max Ruddock on the following dates: Monday 12th June, Wednesday 14th June, Friday 16th June and Sunday 18th June (9am-12pm, venue to be confirmed).
