Evening all Winston Hills Bears and Friends,
A decision has been made by FFA in relation to the 2020 season following the impact of COVID-19. In summary;
Effective immediately, a suspension applies to all sanctioned matches and competitions, including National Premier Leagues, FFA Cup, youth and grassroots football (including MiniRoos and futsal) as well as training and associated football related activities. The suspension is in place until 14th April with a desired season start of the 1st May (allows 2 weeks for training).
As such, all planned coach and manager meetings are suspended, and grounds will be closed for training and no lights will be able to be turned on until the suspension is lifted.
The club is hopeful of a May start and will start planning on how best to manage the situation in terms of player numbers, managing groups and general hygiene.
At this stage we have no information regarding how the season will look (fingers crossed for May) and the impact on fees but will communicate these as soon as the information is provided.
I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
President – Winston Hills FC
